Java 8 is end of support date is 30 Sep 2026 for IBM. We have changed " current" back to JAVA 8 each time we did maintenance. With our next maintenance rollout of z/os 3.1 at RSU2501 we have asked everyone to stop using current and point directly to the level of JAVA they want to run with. This means we will no longer be changing current from what IBM sets it to. Our current z/OS 3.1 systems do have current reset to JAVA ,
