Hello
I have ordered the IBM open enterprise edition software and I have received
as ISO format.
I am not sure how to get these ISO image file to zOS. We don't run NFS as
well to get this software mounted in OMVS path.
Is there anyother alternative way to get the ISO in zOS ?
ISO is well known format of optical disk image. In other words it is
image of CD or DVD (even double layer, etc.).
Good way to send some CD electronically.
Obviously you cannot insert a CD into z/OS CD-ROM drive, because such
drive does not exist.
The only way to read data from the CD is to use some workstation
(Windows, Linux, MacOS) with optical drive.
You no longer have such a drive in your new & shining workstation? It
doesn't matter, because you can "insert" your virtual CD platter into
your virtual drive. And then you can copy all the files and directories
from the CD (ISO image).
How to copy the content to z/OS? As usual.
