Just send to the listserv@ address :- SET IBM-MAIN NOMAIL or SIGNOFF IBM-MAIN
A friend has looked into it and my suspicions are confirmed--when my IBM-MAIN mail goes missing, it happens when someone *else* reports their IBM-MAIL messages as spam. At the risk of upsetting people, the instructions on how to unsubscribe are at the bottom of every message. I sent INFO IBM-MAIL and got the following instructions: To SUBSCRIBE to IBM-MAIN, send email to [email protected] with the following in the body: SUBSCRIBE IBM-MAIN <firstname> <lastname> - - - - - To SIGNOFF from IBM-MAIN, send email to [email protected] with the following in the body: SIGNOFF IBM-MAIN - - - - - To access the archives, go to https://listserv.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html - - - - - If you are reading IBM-MAIN from the bit.listserv.ibm-main newsgroup, you MUST be subscribed to IBM-MAIN in order to post to the list. After confirming your subscription, you can send email to [email protected] with the following in the body of the message: SET IBM-MAIN NOMAIL This will prevent LISTSERV from sending you email directly from the IBM-MAIN discussion list while still allowing you to post from your subscribed email address. Remember to send this command to [email protected], not to the list. - - - - - For other problems, contact the list owner at: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
