Sure, do a list volume (option 2 in ISMF) , DASD (option 1), and I don't remember which option on the volume selection panel, but put in your volser, and I have "acquire physical data", "acquire space" set to Y and storage group name is *. The next screen gives the SG in column 23 on my system.

I know how to list SG's. However, assuming large environment with plenty of SG's and thousands of volumes - is the any way to display SG by specifying volser? Example: I have volser ABC123, which Storage Group does it belong to? -- Radoslaw Skorupka Lodz, Poland ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
