OSPF has nothing to do with GDPS per se.

A GDPS Hyperswap will bring up the secondary site images, exactly as they
looked in the primary site.

If a physical network is used, this represents a large amount of manual
intervention (not what you want if a real event is in progress).

This could be handled with duplicate physical connections in the primary and
secondary sites. Myself (and Murphy) can guarantee that things will
(eventually) get out of sync
between the primary and secondary sites and the network will fail.

OSPF will learn the new network connections dynamically without manual
intervention.

You pays you money and you takes your choice!

HTH,

Hello

Is OSPF routing mandatory for GDPS ? What are test cases to be done to validate
the effectiveness of the test?

Peter
