If I wasn't sure, I'd assemble the alleged production source, then
disassemble both the new and existing modules and compare.
Sometimes I'd find explainable differences, like changes to IBM macro
expansions. But sometimes I'd find pieces missing, which probably meant
the latest production source change was done in someone's personal
dataset and never made it to the prod source library.

And yes, you have to be pretty sure that is the source. Not the previous
version, not the test version, not the "I think this is the version"...
