Claude Take a look at the DCOLLECT utility.
Obviously there are IBM and ISV products in this space as well that make this process easier, but DCOLLECT is provided as part of base DFSMS/dfp. There are probably public domain REXX/asm tools to post-process the DCOLLECT data - I am sure someone will pipe up with some on here. We have a few Storage Groups that have 300+ volumes and one shot up with a 20% growth in the last couple of days. No new process were created that would allocate very large files that I know of. Without having to go down each volume with a =3.4 - sort files command, can SMS tell you what files exceed a certain size?
