I will be retiring in early June 2025. My manager asked if I would be interested in doing part-time work for my current employer. While I have mixed feeling regarding continued work, I agreed to the part-time schedule. My wife and I will be spending time in Eastern Europe for several months, starting in early June 25. While my manager would prefer to keep me, he is being asked by my employer to interview possible candidates for my position. If a suitable person is not found, my part-time work could be extended.
With all of that said, I have been asked to participate in the interview process. I have always been on the interviewee side of the table, never the interviewer. I would appreciate it very much, if the list could give me questions to ask during the interview process. The person needs to be a z/OS generalist, with experience in installing and maintaining z/OS and ISV products, RACF administration, DASD administration, TS77xx/GRID configuration, DR/BCP planning and execution, DASD replication (IBM DS8xxx or HDS), and performance and tuning. Thanks in advance. "Confidentially doc, I am the wabbit."
