Since we moved to continuous delivery of publications, it has become harder to 
detect. I know that ICSF doesn't change the version number when 
updating/correcting a publication, only when the document is for a new release 
(FMID).

We document the date of update on the download pages, I thought.

I had always thought (assumed?) that when IBM changes a manual, they changes 
the manual number, i.e.,  SA23-1370-60 to SA23-1370-61

This is kind of scary.

You periodically check the checksum of the manuals to see if there were changes?
