I would like to retrieve a Jes dataset from within the same started
task that creates it, and writes to it. I've got code that will retrieve
the output of batch jobs that the task submits to the internal reader
that work.
However, when I try to get the task's Jes datasets using Put/Get, I
either get SSOBRETN of SSS2EODS, with reason code 240(no matching
datasets), or SSOBRETN of SSS2INVA.
SSS2INVA if I set SSS2SEL1 flags SSS2SJBN + SSS2SJBI. SSS2SEL5
flag SSS2SRON. SSS2JOBN is set to the started tasks name, with SSS2JBIL
and SSS2JBIH set to the Jes jobid pulled from the JSABJBID.
SSS2EODS if the above are set plus SSS2SEL6 flag SSS2STPI.
In searching the manual on using SAPI I found this:
" • Data sets available for selection are those that are not
currently being processed."
Does this mean I can't get the data because the datasets are open?
If not, what selection criteria do I set to get Jes data for an active
started task from within that started task?
