"DB2" (now "Db2"). Never had a slash AFAIK.

Since we're discussing names...

I always wanted "DB2 for OS/2", aka OS/DB (OS divided by 2 x DB x 2 = OS 
divided by DB, right?)

OS/2 was new OS, not new version of PC-DOS.
DB/2 was new database, not new version of IMS etc.
