Not just this - another example was the "separate memory"
proposal for Hercules that was predominantly invented by
somitcw. After YEARS of complicated potential solutions.

Extremely trivial and "obvious" in retrospect.

And my (vague) goal included simplifying all this stuff anyway.

And it is simple now - at least within the specified constraints.

You want OS/2 on the mainframe?

Another trivial API to add - the code is already there - I put
it on the x86 first for obvious reasons, but nothing preventing
it from being added (on the mainframe, EBCDIC, whatever)
the same way the Windows API (subset that I need) was added.
