I don't know, but I suspect that TEST does not use PUTLINE (or IKJEFF02) to 
write its messages. It may simply use TPUT. If this is the case you may be able 
to use the TSO session manager to get these messages. You can read about the 
TSO session manager in Chapter 8 of TSO/E Customisation - SA32-0976-60
