I don't think the size of the log streams for IZPCA is related closely to the volume of data, it is more associated with the type of configuration you have setup; specifically if you running the continuous data collector. With 129 LPARs, if you are using one database for all LPARs, you could have just one collector on the hub receiving data from all the spokes (1 log stream for hub and 1 for each spoke - LPAR). You could set hubs for specific SMF record types and have spokes on each LPAR for which you are collecting the SMF record type (1 log stream per hub and 1 for each spoke sending to that hub). Start with the recommended size and then per LPAR check how often, if at all (other than when the hub is down) is the log stream offloading. If it is frequently offloading, increase the size. Is 21st Century helping you with your initial configuration?
