SYS1 HLQ datasets have a special catalog option available. They can be cataloged in multiple master catalogs at the same time.
This is how I migrate my SYS1 stuff to the new systems without copying them. Look up SCONVCAT (RCONVCAT) in file 494 on the CBT Tape (CBTTAPE.ORG). Can compare catalogs and generate IDCAMS commands to catalog datasets into the new catalog.
