All,

I'm involved in a ZOS 2.4 to ZOS 2.5 ServerPac Migration. We've brought up ZOS
2.5 in our Test LPAR and ran into vendor software issue resulting in following
error message:

CEE3501S The module libjvm.so was not found.

In our ServerPac order we did not specifically order Java but did receive Java
filesystems with base package.

Questions:

1. What exactly changed in Java from ZOS 2.4 to ZOS 2.5 - does that
automatically move us to Semuru edition or only if specifically ordered?
2. IBM support case indicates following:

"The most likely reason for this symptom is that the JVM invoker is not able to find
the libjvm.so because the LIBPATH environment variable doesn't contain the correct
path(s) for the libjvm.so dll."

I've sent this back to App Dev support team and asked what LIBPATH settings are
and they say they don't know?
How do we determine LIBPATH setting?

Suggestions/tips/tricks on how to get to bottom of this issue?

Thanks,
Steve Estle
