address is not a valid CLIST command. The CLIST equivalent of 'foo' in an 
ISREDIT environment is ISREDIT foo.

As a general rule, manual that give examples and explanations for other 
components get things wrong.

VPUT is a useful tool for ISPF macros

That's what it says  in the book..
I once submitted an RCF on that.  They said that it
was necessary in order to support  CLIST.

I think he said the macro may subtly change the environment
in ways that it's difficult but necessary for the caller to detect.
Might an environment variable reflect that state?
