Just a note to close this thread. One of the listeners here kindly sent me
scans of the user’s manual for this level of Easytrieve along with a scan of
the reference booklet and an example of usage of the product of the same age.

The listener also enlightened me on more of the history of the product than I
previously knew, which also proved quite helpful.

Once again, this list proved we are a community that takes care of each other.

Thank you.

Thanks for the link. I explored some of the “community” docs available, but
unfortunately none of them contained any language-reference type material for
much older base versions of the product. Most of them seem to be for older
“add-on” products or installation material.

We are licensed for and do use the latest product version, but there are legacy
production jobs still using that very old version for which we have no
documentation of the syntax or semantics. From review of the legacy jobs there
seem to be a few significant changes in at least semantics and some syntax
differences.

I am trying to get a login to the site to discuss our problem on the Easytrieve
forum, but they seem to have locked out my old CA login credentials. I’ll keep
working at that and see where I can get.

Broadcom has 2 older Easytrieve version docs available (11.5 and 6.4), and

some links to older "community" doc which might have what you are looking

for:
