It's not official documentation, but COBANAL (CBT file 321) has at least some of the COBOL control blocks and areas mapped in assembler across multiple COBOL compiler and runtime versions.
I'm not sure IBM even documents COBOL-specific areas outside of the LE ones common to the HLL's, even in the Vendor Interfaces manual. Peter From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Binyamin Dissen Sent: Sunday, May 31, 2026 4:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Control block mappings for COBOL/ LE? I am not locating mapping macroes or descriptions for COBOL and LE control blocks, such as RUNCOM, C3THDCOM, etc. The best I found was in "Language Environment Debugging Guide" and it is quite pitiful. Please provide me with pointers. -- This message and any attachments are intended only for the use of the addressee and may contain information that is privileged and confidential.
