If you want your command to also work from their panel, I think the only
solution would be that they change their panel so that its options are selected
not from the primary command field but from another field in the panel.

How many users are affected and what is their skill / resistance to change the
way they work? If it causes too much trouble, they should move it to a separate
applid. But that might break some things, too (e.g. the profile variable pool
is different so they might loose their settings), that should be kept in mind.

Hope this helps,
Beate

Betreff: [IBM-MAIN] ISPF command table overrides menu

My team has an ISPF command table, which includes a command that we want to
work across all of ISPF. It is in the ISPF 3.9 command table search as a "user
table".

The site has an ISPF menu that displays a panel; it is simulating a menu but is
actually a DISPLAY.

The problem is that there's an item on this menu that is the same as my
command. So, when a user attempts to select this option, it run my command
instead.

I can't create an application table to do a pass through for this menu, because
the site has it running in the ISR applid id.

Am I missing something? I'm thinking there's no way to get this to work
without...

- Site changes their panel, or
- Site moves their menu to a different applid, or
- I override their panel so I can attach a keylist to it, or
- I change my command
