You are correct - the cbttape site hasn't been updated yet (should be later
today)

I've created a GitHub release with an xmit file here
https://github.com/lbdyck/racfadm/releases for 40.9 for those who prefer that
method of installation.

To use the XMIT do:

1. download the xmit from github to your pc
2. binary ftp/sftp upload to z/OS into a sequential dataset with a DCB of
RECFM=FB and LRECL=80
3. issue TSO RECEIVE INDS(uploaded.xmit) and follow the prompts

Hope this helps

Subject: Re: RACFADM Update

Thanks Lionel (and others contributors) for this very usefull (and free) RACF
tool!

I was trying to update our current version, downloading the new one from
CBTTAPE, but it seems to me that the CBTTAPE version is still V40R8. Or am I
mistaken?

On the other hand, I am not familiar with downloading it from github. Using
CBTTAPE, I upload the xmi file to Mainframe (binary ftp) and then you use TSO
RECEIVE command. Is it something similar from github?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Juan G. Mautalen

For those wanting an open source user interface to RACF then check this out,
and if you're already using it then you'll love the updates from Charles Mills
and Janko Kalinich for certificate handling.

This is a full ISPF interface with that makes using RACF easier for all.

It is available from https://github.com/lbdyck/racfadm and from
https://cbttape.org (check the updates page) in file 417.
