You shouldn't just pick based on rated capacity.  You need to know your LPAR 
configuration to determine what is best model. You should read my article in 
Planet Mainframe, "Don't Buy More MIPS - Do This Instead".  Also if you are 
really only 55 total MSU shop you are on a Business class machine.  When you 
move from z14 to z16 which has much faster engines, you will need 1 less for 
same MSU.
A z14 3907-B05 rated at 53 MSUs would migrate to a z16 3932-B04 rated at 53 
MSUs.  Reducing # of physical GCPs increases Logical to Physical ratio and is 
typically not good for performance.
