Hi everybody, VTAM is not "my cup of tea", anyway I try to explain the best I can.
A customer of mine is moving to H.A. (e.g. LPAR1 and LPAR2) for sessions too. There're different terminals connecting to zOS via TN3270. Terminal name does matter, so we need that terminal X0000001 will take the same name (e.g. Z0000001) when connecting to VTAM on LPAR1 or LPAR2. That seems to be OK because of TN3270 and VTAM definition in terms of models. When a terminal logs off (by its own request or because forced), it could reconnect after a while getting a different LPAR. In your experience, do you see any problem in such a scenario ? Thanks a lot in advance.
