Could you please point me to a very basic documentation on how to set Unix file
system and how to start and access Unix services under z/OS.
I think I cannot avoid supporting that stuff in PCRE for z/OS
I would start with DFSMS Using Data Sets, SC26-7410
BTW: to create new filesystem you need to do the following:
1. Create filesystem "container". It is dataset. It can be
DSORG=PO,DSNTYPE=HFS or ZFS. ZFS is a VSAM LDS dataset, but it also
require formatting (HFS is ready to use just after allocation).
2. Mount the filesystem using mount command. It can be issued as TSO
command (caution for capitalization), as unix command or from ISPFpanels
(ISH).
