I/O priority management is a separate issue and should be set to YES

Dynamic alias tuning management can be set to NO as long as you 
have APAR OA32453 applied.

Are you going to reduce the number of aliases now?  You
shouldn't need as many.     You might want to look for some
SHARE papers (or white papers?) also.   They would probably be
mostly old at this point.  One I'm looking at is from SHARE 
Session # 3075 in SanDiego - think that was 2007.
