Would it be equally important to find out those that are not used, and/or where/when they are used?

That program could list all datasets found on ll online volumes and did give a space summary by volume and HLQ. There is lso an option to list only certain volumes. Unfortuneately, I can't remember the name of it. It might have been called SUPRLIST? If I remember, at the beginning of the list it listed every high level qualifier, and the total number of datasets that started with that qualifier and the space they occupied. That was followed by an alphabetical list of every dataset, one line per DS. When I worked at P&H Mining, we used to print that list, and every week send it off site with all of our backup tapes. It was only about 2 inches thick. I used to use the list occasionally just to look for overallocated datasets, and other things. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- or IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, end email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
