Peter is correct about checking the status from the SE.  If you are running on 
a z890/z990 or later, then the machine comes with the CPACF hardware.  However, 
you have to have FC #3863 installed to enable it.  That's how we handle the 
export restrictions on crypto technology.  If you're from one of the embargoed 
countries, we won't ship that FC.

In the bottom right corner of the CPC Details, Instance Information tab, look 
for 'CP Assist for Crypto functions: Installed'.  If the FC is missing, it will 
say 'Not Installed'.  

Since this is a No Charge feature code, most shops today have it installed.  
That wasn't true 5+ years ago.
