I haven't seen this problem except when logger is sick. OTOH we use system logger for other functions: SMF, Operlog, CICS logs. I'm not sure what makes these puppies go away on a regular basis, but I also thought the combination of RETPD and AUTODELETE would make them disappear. If a log stream is not 'digested' in some way, does logger automatically throw the offloads away even though the data may never have been archived in a way that logger understands? . . Just to clarify, what I posted in an excerpt from the report generated by issuing the following command to the IXCMIAPU utility: DATA TYPE(LOGR) REPORT(YES) -- Edward E Jaffe Phoenix Software International, Inc 831 Parkview Drive North El Segundo, CA 90245 http://www.phoenixsoftware.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
