This question is related to my question on timezone_name. I am responsible for a C++ program that runs POSIX(ON) as a started task in "conventional" MVS.
I observe that at some customers the environment variable TZ (time zone) is set correctly, and that at others it is not set at all. I search the USS documentation and all I find is information about setting the environment variables if you are a shell user. For the customers that do not have TZ correctly set (for "MVS" started tasks), what do I tell them to do? "You need to set the TZ environment variable by customizing ____ as documented in _____"?
