IBM has carefully worked out serialization rules for its own code;
And that serialization is often *NOT* documented! You have to learn it
via (in-person or electronic) discussions with helpful folks like Jim
Mulder and Peter Relson--without whom much of the world's z/OS software
would not reliably work.
