Yes to all. You can create as many configurations as you need and
associate them to unique 'group' icons. We have a SAD icon for each
sysplex. It's set to IPL from the (shared) SAD IPL volume and write to the
(shared) SAD pack set.

Group your icons to make them easy for operators to discern. Label each
one clearly. That will make the operator's job easier.

Subject: HMC operation: Groups andGroups
Sent by: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]>

Is it possible to add customized image icons (e.g. for Stand Alone Dump)
to the "CPC IMAGES" group on the BC12 HMC? I can see how to add a new
Stand Alone Dump group to GROUPS, but I cannot see how to add new image
icons to the default "CPC Images" group.

This all stems from the fact that we can no longer have the HMC OPERATOR
userid double click on an image in "CPC Images" and use "Change Options"
to select a new load profile for Stand Alone Dump. I think OPERATOR had
this capability on the z10, but now we need to logon as SYSPROG to select
a new load profile for the ACTIVATE. Can anyone confirm that OPERATOR can
select a new load profile on a z10 HMC?

Thanks!
JoAnn
