Not hearsay. That was from a post by me on 31 August 2011, when the
instructions appended by the list server said:
"For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions,
send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO
Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html";
When I tried that, GET IBM-MAIN INFO returned:
> GET IBM-MAIN INFO
This server does not have any file by the name "IBM-MAIN INFO".
I don't recall that anyone posted how to actually get the INFO at the
time, though perhaps they did and I've forgotten. I am glad to see that
the instructions are fixed now, though, as they now say:
"For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions,
send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN"
...which is different.
