Hi Kees,

That's exactly what I did, went to the SMF manual where I found the pointer to
the RACF book. In retrospect I should have mentioned the SMF book pointer
and/or put quotes around my 'cleverly hidden' comment.

Take care,

Rex

Rex,

Your 'hidden' description triggered me: a few years ago I was looking
for an SMF record from a product (somewhere in the 90 range, I don't
know exactly which anymore). I found nothing in the SMF manual and after
consulting IBM, it appeared to be described in the product manuals. I
argued that each SMF record should be anchored in *the* SMF manual, at
least with a pointer to the real manual. IBM agreed and added a chapter
in the SMF manual with a link to the correct manual.

The SMF 80 also appears to be nicely documented in the SMF manual with a
pointer to the appropriate manual, so it is not hidden from people who
try, using common sense, to find this SMF information in the SMF manual.

Kees.

SMF type 80, cleverly hidden in the RACF Macros and Interfaces manual.
