BSAM has a built-in gotcha. An explicit block size in the WRITE macro may get you a full-size block anyway. The only way around that was to put the desired size into DCBBLKSI also. I stumbled on that with both FB and FBS. I suspect the size is honored directly only for D, U, and V.
