If you are looking to perform SFTP transfers from z/OS Data sets and not just Unix Systems Services, then I would also recommend that you look at Co:Z from Dovetail. It is a no cost open source software that runs on top of Open SSH and connects the two environments together without having to write special scripts to handle the back ground work needed to send native z/OS data sets through Open SSH. Had both installed, configured, tested and validated without a day without issues.
