OF COURSE you don't use STARTIO unless the situation requires it--the development time savings are substantial and, as you stated, that approach is more likely to introduce integrity exposures. The point is real MVS programmers CAN write and debug STARTIO logic (hopefully without crashing or wedging MVS in the process), n'est pas?
