For many years now IBM has been praised by Wall St. for shunning low-margin and 
commodity businesses (printers, PCs, hard drives) , in favor of higer profit 
software and professional services.   If not for the marketing buzzword value, 
the 'cloud' business would seem to be the ultimate in low-margin commodity 
based lines of business to me.
