I'm in a thread on MVS-OE about a bug that suggests that
Unix System Services is CVTLSO-ignorant. Tests and
statistics welcomed. Rexx:
address TSO time; address SH date; address TSO time
(also, possibly dump CVTLSO; it's probabably in Data Areas,
somewheres. I'd expect either 0 or 0000 0017 D784 0000.)
We turned on CVTLSO, briefly, about ten years ago; long
enough for me to provoke:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1OA05136
OA05136: MSGIEB1035I HAS INCORRECT TIME STAMP
We found intolerable inconsistency in log time stamps and
promptly turned it off again.
What do others see, now, a decade later? Will IBM routinely
accept APARs on CVTLSO-deviant products?
