If the error is truly on the MVCK, then examining the dump should have 
told you exactly what the problem was (but not necessarily whose fault it 
is).
- The key being used would have been in the dump.
- The key of the virtual storage target could have been examined.
- The PSW key mask could be examined.
so which was not correct?

It seems somewhat unlikely that Fault Analyzer would say that the error is 
within a particular CSECT if the PSW address was not within that CSECT 
(but I have no idea upon what info FA bases its determination).

If the program blew up on an SSM, the error PSW would have shown that.
