(answer to my own questions, maybe someone would find it useful)
1. OSA/SF on HMC
"Reset to defaults" will circumvent the problem, next step is to load
any valid configuration from text file.
BTW: This is catch 22. For OSA Express5S you *cannot* use legacy OSA/SF
on z/OS (or other OS). You have to use OSA/SF on HMC which has errors.
From the other hand, for OSA Express3 you cannot use OSA/SF on HMC.
2. OSA-ICC and IP_FILTER. Yes to my question: when you provide both:
CLIENT_IP= 10.48.22.2
IP_FILTER= 255.255.255.0
in such case any PC with address 10.48.22.1-254 will be able to
connect to the ICC server.
