Theo, Whatever you want them to be. Big, medium or small should be determined by intended usage. A few, LARGE, datasets warrants a small VTOC/INDEX combination. Thousands of datasets, a large VTOC/INDEX combination. Determine its intended usage and INIT accordingly.
