May I ask the following question, which may sound a little bit off-topic,
but maybe it is helpful, anyway:
the program that does this LCCA/PCCA lookup is a report writer,
that's what the OP said. What is the purpose of this activity?
Why should a report writer do that?
Could it be possible to identify the code in the old report writer
that does this LCCA/PCCA lookup and make a little modification
to just branch over that code, because the activity is maybe not necessary
for the function of that report writer?
