Currently we are converting our information to ACSII and sending it to a java socket server on a windows platform using port 41000. The java socket server does some processing and then sends information to a syslog daemon using UDP port 514 and all works well. However when the java socket server is on USS what we see on the windows syslog daemon is garbage. It looks like it is being translated. Is this possible and how do we stop this translation?
