My first order of business is to read up on DFSORT. I know the basics, but not much about the exits. I am especially concerned about the compatibility with C and the use of POSIX(ON) for UNIX and POSIX(OFF) for legacy. And how to implement some features which, in COBOL, are done using "special registers". <sigh/> design is not my strong suit.
