Timothy;
The protocol is TCPIP and we build Security provisioning and reconciliation software manage tools Regards, Scott From: Timothy Sipples Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 12:37 AM To: IBM Mainframe Discussion List Scott, I see someone beat me to it, but I (also) wouldn't do anything special in your application program code on z/OS. Let z/OS AT-TLS worry about encrypting whatever connection(s) you need. IPSec is another possibility and would be my second choice for this use case. Preferably you'd let something else worry about the protocols and network, too -- WebSphere Liberty z/OS Connect being the latest example among the myriad options. "Omit needless coding." What protocol(s) do you have in mind between these program components? What are they going to chat about? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy Sipples IT Architect Executive, zEnterprise Industry Solutions, AP/GCG/MEA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E-Mail: [email protected] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
