We currently have an assembler routine which is called from CICS to check whether a particular job is running in the same z/OS system as the CICS system. This routine was written back in the dark ages and accomplishes this by chasing the ASCB chain and comparing the jobname of each address space. We now have the need to check to see if the job in question is running in any z/OS instance of a SYSPLEX. Any suggestions as to what is the best way to accomplish this.
