Which is a joke in itself, since the release of RDz we have been getting from
the ADCD system for *both* z/OS 1.10 and 1.13 has been RDz8.01, which was
outdated even in z/OS 1.10 times. It is the only product that I did not copy
over to my new master cat. We run two newer versions of it.

:-) I'd say for getting to know DSCB8 and 9. :-) :-)

>I'm running OpenSUSE on an ASUS system with 1Gb Ethernet with no issues.
Lucky you. I don't know who made the choice for SUSE Linux, that's what the
system came with.

>That sounds like a bug in zPDT, and you should be fully supported for that.
Knowing how this goes, I would most probably get asked a ton of questions about
Linux (that I cannot answer since I have no real clue about Linux), followed by
'Please reproduce the problem' (mind you, *that* time there wasn't even a core
dump accompanying it). At that point I would have wasted a lot of time for
nothing. And as I said, I cannot use Passport advantage in the first place, it
does not let me login using my old IBMID.

>For me, I get plenty of performance from my ASUS I7.
As far as I am concerned, performance is great, even when I run performance
tests. But then, we don't run a lot of I/O intensive stuff.
