MASDEF looks reasonable. You might check on the PCEDEF values to allow for more 
parallelism in the shutdown process. 
IIRC, the defaults were very low(I have mine set to the max allowed). The 
tradeoff is more virtual storage used by the JES address space.
Check the fine manuals for details...
