You and I might suspect sabotage -- you because of your recurring
experiences; I from mere paranoia.  The "Windows weenies" might
be motivated to prove the mainframe deficient by creating a data
image according to their misunderstanding of z/OS access methods
in order to demonstrate that the result is unusable.
