Another interesting consolidating story of several energy-hungry h/w into one zBox. This type of consolidating several hardware into one zBox is old news. AFAIK one of the first such consolidating was in Norway where the guys there were astonished to see one z Box could handle 70 Linux partitions with ease and no problems encountered with response time (session+overhead) overall plus the additional benefit of fewer Linux administrators. Apparently IBM then boasted that 70 is not 'many'. I wish I still have the sources of that story. >Story doesn't tell us. I will try to find out about that municipality how did they do that trick.
